Our mission: HR software that brings processes onto one platform, with open prices

In short

The mission of Sora İK (the HR management software by Sora Yazılım Teknolojileri) is to build software that brings processes such as employee records, leave, time tracking, the attendance ledger and payroll onto one platform, with open prices and security by design. We do not describe features the product lacks as if they exist, and we stay cautious on legislation.

Which activities fulfill our mission?

We fulfill our mission through five concrete activities, each of which can be seen on the site or in the product.

Goal Concrete counterpart
Bringing processes onto one platform 15 modules available today, from employee records to payroll; the modules share the same employee record (modules)
Keeping prices open Plan prices, user limits and purchase steps are published on the site (pricing)
Addressing security from the start Connections encrypted with TLS (Transport Layer Security), password storage with argon2id, role-based permissions, audit log (security)
Being cautious on legislation "Calculation infrastructure based on Turkish legislation" wording; links to official sources; no legal advice
Avoiding overstatement "Available" and "Coming soon" badges; no room for unverifiable claims

Whose work do we aim to make easier?

Sora İK aims to let people who handle human resources (HR) processes from different roles work on the same data:

  • HR specialists: Running employee records, leave, onboarding and offboarding from a single record
  • Payroll and accounting officers: Preparing payroll from the same employee record, and getting information from the CSV summary of the final payroll that can help in preparing SGK declarations and the MUHSGK (Muhtasar ve Prim Hizmet Beyannamesi, the combined withholding tax and premium return) (this summary is not an official declaration; transferring attendance ledger and leave data to payroll is coming soon)
  • Managers: Seeing and approving their teams' leave requests in one place and accessing the team's attendance ledger
  • Employees: Accessing their own information and requests through self-service
  • Business owners: Seeing plan costs in advance and knowing data protection roles clearly

How is our mission reflected in the design of a module?

Every module is designed in the same order:

  1. The process and any official legislation it is based on are reviewed.
  2. The data the module needs is determined according to the principle of proportionality; fields that are not needed are not made mandatory.
  3. Which role can view and change which data, and which operations are written to the audit log, are defined.
  4. The module is shown on the site with the badge matching its current status: "Available" if it can be used, "Coming soon" if it is not yet in the product.

Frequently asked questions

How is your mission reflected in day-to-day product decisions?

Three questions are asked when a feature is designed: does the process really become simpler on one platform, is only the necessary data processed, and is access limited to the right roles? These questions decide which feature is developed first and which waits its turn among the features coming soon. For calculations based on legislation, the official source is reviewed first.

Where does security fit into your mission?

Security is a starting condition of design, not a later add-on. Passwords are stored with argon2id, connections are encrypted with TLS, access is limited by role-based permissions, and critical operations are written to the audit log. Personal data in system logs is minimized: email addresses are masked, and the login log keeps only the network prefix of the IP address. The security page openly lists sub-processors and data protection roles.

What do you commit to regarding legislation?

Sora İK provides calculation infrastructure based on Turkish legislation; however, it does not provide legal or financial consulting and does not commit that results will be correct in every case. Instead of citing article numbers or rates, legislation notes link to official sources such as mevzuat.gov.tr, sgk.gov.tr, gib.gov.tr and kvkk.gov.tr. We recommend having critical calculations checked by your adviser.

Why do you also show modules that are not yet in the product?

When choosing HR software, knowing which features can be used today is important for the decision. That is why modules are distinguished by "Available" and "Coming soon" badges, features not yet available in an available module are also marked "coming soon", and no date promises are made for what is coming soon. This way, when choosing a plan, you base your decision only on the modules you can actually use.

Who owns the employee data?

Employee data in Sora İK belongs to the customer company; Sora İK processes it as data processor only to provide the service. During the subscription and at its end, payroll and attendance ledger data and reports, including the leave summary, can be exported as CSV; employee list CSV export is coming soon. After the agreement ends, data is deleted within the agreed period. This helps you decide without provider lock-in.
